In Dynamics SL 2015 (v9.01), we capture time from staff and allocate it to the project module using multi-level rate tables. We then prepare our invoices using flexible billing. However, we have an issue with rounding when all time entries are added together and presented on the invoice format. The total hours and the total value are presented on the invoice and the hourly rate is a calculation by taking the total value divided by the hours. However, the hourly rate is often out by $.01 from the what the rate should be. We then have to adjust one of the detail lines in flexible billing by trial and error to get the correct rate to show on the invoice format. I know that the project module uses three or four decimal places when time is allocated. Is there any way to either adjust the decimal places in allocator or elsewhere in the project module? Or is there some other way to correct the rounding issue?

Nyan, the reason is the cue report process. go system manger report control maintenance control options and check pre process and check you have old report if you have a pre-process SP, the other options is to modify the report and check the table links. Thanks

When searching for a vendor under the voucher and adjustment entry screen, is there a way to search by description when you hit f3 on the vendor id field without clicking on the column head? I know microsoft nav is very keyboard shortcut oriented... I am kind of hoping SL is the same way.

Forum Post: Transaction Import - How can we update OrigDocAmount after Tax is calculated
We've implemented an invoice import process that using Transaction Import. Currently, the process is passing in 2 line items, 1 for the sales item and 1 for sales tax that was calculated by the source system. We are also passing the OrigDocAmt as the sum of the item and tax. The result is a balanced invoice. We are trying to replace the tax item with a call to AvaTax to perform the Tax calculation. We have installed a connector for AvaTax and it is successfully calculating sales tax and storing it on the invoice, however the OrigDocAmt is not updated. We are importing over 500 invoices and it is not possible to touch each invoice to update the OrigDocAmt manually. Is there a way to get the import process to update the OrigDocAmt after the tax call is completed? We took out passing the OrigDocAmt in the file and control file, but that just results in an amount of zero. The Avatax call is made upon Save. After the save is complete, the DocBal and CuryDocBal includes the sales tax. It would seem that the control file needs to set the OrigDocAmt to the DocBal and initiate another save. Can someone explain how I might do this in the intelligent control file?

Trying to generate intercompany allocations and keep getting this error for the destination intercompany account. =============================================================== Processing: Batch: '005787' , Group ID: 'BCADEE' System Message 6003: Warning - Account: '47400' is not found. System Message 6127: Error occurred during an abortable transaction. Processing will continue. =============================================================== When I set up the group 'BCADEE' in the allocation group maintenance, the company and account pull up as options and are saved, but when I go to actually process the allocation, it doesn't take. Any ideas? Does this module work with intercompany? Thanks

I am having an issue with creating or opening new columns. I get an error message "problem with data provider". I am able to create reports and view, create and view companies, but not the columns. This database with converted from sl 2011 and frx 6.7 sp 12. Single currency database. All data is validated via MR with no issues outstanding. Hi everyone, I am migrating our Microsfot Dynamic SL 7.0 from one server to another. Everything copies over fine. The database is working correctly But the problem, the old install had a lot of customized forms for all users and they did not come over correctly. What is the difference between the Void All function and Delete All function used during a check run? My understanding is that the Void All treats the check as if it never existed and the Delete All function deletes the batch but keeps the vouchers. Is this correct?
